Five ways to help with the peace efforts in Ukraine for you and your child

Helping others is such a wonderful thing to do and especially in the Lent and Easter season it is good to think of others and do acts of charity.

We at Oakleaf have put together five ways you and your child can help with the efforts to support families and children in Ukraine.

Pray for peace

There are so many lovely prayers for peace and you can share them with your family and friends.

Have an Art competition

You could choose to all design the Ukrainian flag and have a art show to show off all the entries.

Put on an event

Hold a small fete, fair or even a ball or dance. This is a lovely one to get everyone together for a great cause and is a lot of fun.

Hold a concert or recital

If you have children who play music or sing this would be a lovely chance for them to hold a recital or concert. Or if that isn't your thing how about "Battle of the bands".

Hold a bake sale

This is an amazing opportunity to learn how to bake your favourite cakes and share them with others.

Donate to your favourite charity

There are some lovely charities doing much needed work in Ukraine.

We have picked our favourite four child focused charities but there are many more out there which are in need of donations.

UNICEF

Providing emergency response for children affected by the war. Donate here.

Save the children

Aiming to help 3.5 million vulnerable children. Donate here

SOS Children's Village

They provide psychological and psychosocial support to children. Donate here.

Save the Children

They are working to assess what support children and families need and are able to provide life-saving aid. Donate here.
